Heidi & Honey
Heidi & Honey
I began my love affair with interiors and renovation while designing homes with my brother Hugh, working on projects from Noosa Heads, Gold Coast and Byron Bay.
Always on the hunt for a new challenge, it wasn't long before I found my latest project: a 1950's Bangalow cottage, Ha'veli House. Having established my business Ha'veli of Byron Bay, an importing and design business some 10 years ago , it was a perfect opportunity to combine both passions and transform this old workers cottage into a beautiful holiday cottage.
When it comes to renovating and decorating your home, I don't believe you should ever have to compromise. Go without until you can find the right piece. Most of all build a bedroom you can dream in, a bathroom you can float away in and the rest will fall into place.
The only thing I love more than renovating and sourcing exotic locations for antiques and treasures, is my border collie Honey!
If you're ever in the area, come say hi to Honey and I and let us help you build your own Ha'veli!
Love Heidi x
Ha’veli is Arabic for ‘enclosed space’ that’s used in Pakistan and India to describe a style of mansion.
A Ha'veli home, which to me means "a mini palace", begins with a clean, modern, white space - the best canvas to work off. Interest is added through intricate, earthy and tribal Indian and Balinese antiques, furniture and textiles. A home that makes you feel like you've just walked up from the beach.
